Individual Therapy
Individual therapy, sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counseling” is a process where clients sit one-on-one with a trained therapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Clients will make an appointment to explore specific problems that are keeping them in a “survival state” rather than “living fully” and experiencing life as it is designed to be lived.
Family therapy
Family therapy, also referred to as couple therapy and marriage therapy, is a branch of psychotherapy that works with families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development. It tends to view change in terms of the systems of interaction between family members. It emphasizes family relationships as an important factor in psychological health.
Sex Therapy
Sex therapy maintains ethical boundaries and is sensitive to the personal values, morals and ethics of the client. Techniques might include relationship and intimacy enhancement, strategic homework assignments, reading, specific behavioral interventions, group therapy and/or referral with other professionals. Sex therapy can be a catalyst to treat issues like:
- Low sexual desire
- Conflict over different sexual desire levels
- Erectile dysfunction
- Premature ejaculation
- Performance anxiety
- Inability to reach orgasm
- Unconsummated marriages
- Vaginismus
- Arousal difficulty
- Female sexual pain
- Sexual addiction or compulsivity
- Past sexual abuse
- Affair recovery
Sexual health is a state of physical, emotional, mental and social wellbeing in relation to sexuality; it is not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity. Many individuals experience some type of sexual struggle while only a few people will actually seek therapy with a trained professional. Sexual intimacy with your partner may be improved to allow more gratifying sexual pleasure in the relationship. Most clients find sex therapy helpful.
